We went to these caves as we have seen the others and I was not disappointed, they are wonderful Mother Nature is amazing, the guide was very good and informative, pointed out different formations and details. They are worth seeing fantastic. Great gift shop and food just before the caves which is also the booking office. More

If you are looking for something unique to do in Tasmania with family or with friends then I can thoroughly recommend a visit to the Hastings Thermal Pool and Caves. The Thermal pool experience is great all year round. Yes even in winter!!! Roaring log fires warm up the intrepid swimmer after a swim in the thermally heated pool. There... More

The caves are a couple of hours drive from Hobart, the weather on this particular day was raining so did not make for good scenery watching along the way. The caves were beautiful and the tour guide informative. Access was good to the entrance via a board walk, inside the caves there are plenty of steps of different sizes and... More

Great tour guide, very informative and caves fabulously beautiful. The chap selling our tickets was very enthusaistic about the whole thigs and we thought the thermal pool would be good but it is little more than a grim tiled lukewarm pool (albeit it in a beautiful setting). Go out to the back and look first before you decide. More

We were looking forward to relaxing in the "hot" pools but didn't really realize that "thermal" doesn't equal "hot". It was a cooler day and we didn't realize until arriving that the water was only 28C (82F) That is like a warm-ish swimming pool, and that really was all it was - a warmish swimming pool. Very little character to... More

We visited these caves after a long drive from Hobart but was it worth the drive. The caves are just amazing, the incredible shapes that have been formed over millenia. Our tour guide was so friendly and informative. There are quite a few stairs to climb but plenty of stops to catch your breath and wonder at the scenery. After... More

The Hastings Cave complex features a short forest walk and thermal pools at the visitor centre. You have to collect tickets from here before driving about 5km's further up the dirt road to a carpark at the end of it for the caves themselves. There is a short boardwalk to the caves with information boards explaining forestry activities along the... More

To access the caves, you have to travel along a dirt road for a few kms, and purchase your tickets at the ranger station which has a nice shop with a heated pool an a couple of short walking tracks. When the tour is about to start, you get back into your car and drive 5km further up the track... More

I first visited 5 years ago & have been in a lot of caves in a lot of places around the world, but these really do rate highly. I had forgotten how chock full of formations they are & the staff are so well informed. The glorious bush walks & settings are an added bonus. More

Visited Hastings Thermal Springs and Caves on a damp and overcast day - unfortunately not good weather for a swim in the warm spring-fed pool although there were a couple of hearty soles who braved the weather. The caves are about another 5k up the road from the visitor centre then there is about a 10 minute walk from the... More
