We know very well that we should go in summer and learn from friends that even they go in December, the flowers are not in full bloom. We went on 27th January but were too late fo find that only two rows of lavender had not been harvested and were already wilting. The landscape was nice but it was nothing... More

Went with the family for sister's graduation. As mentioned by one of the reviewers there was a fee. It was AUD7 if not mistaken but for some reason they said we didn't need to pay. I think were were an hour before closing (so that may be a tip if you need to save money?). The shop was great. Really... More

The lavender farm when in full bloom is a lovely site and for that purpose this is should not be missed. However unless you are planning for a picnic there is not much to do. The gift shop is fine but overpriced. The entry fee was also a bit over the top. I can agree with an entry fee but... More

I have been wanting to see the Lavender Farm for years, but all the photos I had seen did not prepare me for the sheer beauty of it all. We had a lovely time, walking amongst the lavenders, tasting the lavender food in the tearoom & of course buying up big. Don't worry about trying to pack all your purchases,... More

The drive out to Bridestowe is along a road that gets pretty narrow and windy towards the end, but through some beautiful bushland and small towns (particularly Lilydale and also various vineyards). Before we arrived I was starting to wonder about the sense of going so far, but when we'd paid our $7 each entry fee and after we parked... More

can't agree with the two bad reviews in here enough. this place is a complete waste of time and money. the entry fee of $7 per person to see a gift shop and lavender field is truely astonishing. a group of us went in thinking there must be something special about this place, but were seriously disappointed to find our... what a rip off. we went to bridestowe not knowing much other than it was a lavender farm, as we were just driving past from a different attraction in the area. after a little hesitation over the entry fee of $7 per person (and three people in our car), we decided to pay and go in, figuring there must be... We recently called in on a self drive holiday to Tassie. As it was only the 1st December we did not pay the entry fee. Though on one of the brochures it did state entry fees would be from the 1st December. I guess because the lavender is in full bloom from then, this is why there is a fee.... More

It was not until we drove the extra 30 minutes, out of our way, to get to Bridestowe, that we realised that there was a cover charge to get into the estate: this was not written in any of the publications that we had picked up... After reluctantly paying $14 for my partner and I to even enter the driveway,... More

We found a good range of lavender products... creams, oils, potpourri, soaps, perfumes etc. at the Bridestowe estate. There is also a cafe that serves food and also a lavender flavoured ice cream. We could also see rows and rows of lavender plants flowering on the farm, which was a wonderful sight. But essentially, it is a retail space for... More
