I went to KI in March 2012 and choose "Hire a guide", best 2 days that I spend in Australia.
It was really great and I had so much fun!

We just spent a wonderful 2 days with Luca exploring the parts of Kangaroo Island that were of interest to US. We looked at several other tour companies and all had fixed itineraries of what you would 'hit' on your tour whereas we told Luca what we were interested in and he took us to the best places to see...

He knows everything and everyone in the island. Just tell him what you are interested in and he will drive you there. And most important of all, he is great company to be . You feel he is more a host than a guide. And moreover he has coffee and biscuits to stop and relax in the most beautiful places...

What an amazing day. I was a bit skeptical at first about an Italian guide but Luca was awesome! He was extremely knowledgable and knew all the tips and tricks of KI. I knew we were in for a real treat when we were about to turn a corner and he told me to pull over after turning b/c there...

Some say you can explore the island just with a map. True but Luca told us so much more about history / flora / fauna / facts of the island that other people will miss.
Our tour began at 9am which Luca already at the door before we had breakfast, he is patient enough to wait till we gobbled down...
