Good value for your money. spent a couple of hours looking at the underground mines and displays.

A very well organised and interesting display of how opal mining was done in the past. Even the souvenir shop was good value for money. Well worth a visit.

For $15 you can self guide don a miners hat and head down to the tunnels. Interesting and fun.

self guided tour was really great and its hard to imagine how people did live underground, but the displays of the living quarters bring it all to life. The mine and displays of how opals were found and dug out by hand really good. Kids will have a ball in the noodling pit.

Very interesting - worth going to and doing the self guided tour.

the underground part is interesting when they explain you how the mining in Coober Pedy started. but the exhibition upstairs is kind of strange since one does not understand why some of the things as displayed.
little bit overpriced.

Trevor.
This place keeps on getting better each time we come to Coober Pedy , which is not often enough . The staff are great , it's a pity that you lost a very good member in David who moved away to the West Coast , however all your other staff do a fantastic job , one in particular Mellissa...

This was amazing! A real old mine that also showed dug out living. I really enjoyed having the dummys posed around and the little bios at each display. My husband did have a bit of trouble finding a large enough hard hat, not sure what that says about him! But perhaps the mine may need to buy larger ones.
