Great walking, running and commuting pathway. Takes you past all the popular sights. Grab a free bike and cycle to the sea, then to Glenelg and back, or up to the foot of the Adelaide Hills, all on safe bikeways.

Area around River Torrens is probably one of the nices surrounding in Adelaide city. It's clean, great for walk, cycle or jog. I simply love the park, surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens. i love it.
Linear park is fantastic, you can run, cycle, walk in the city and out into the suburbs. In many places it is surrounded by beautiful gardens, trees, wildlife. Yet another reason why Adelaide is such a beautiful city
I ride my bike along the linear park most weekends. Always people about walking, running and exercising their dogs. The upper reaches of the River Torrens linear park is my favorite. It has very natural settings with lots of water fowl and even koalas in the trees. Nice and cool in the mornings during summer as well.
A lovely way to spend time going for a walk or bike ride.... beats using the roads!! Lots of birds, ducks and lovely trees.
This is a regular excursion for me, with 2-3 runs along the river every week. I'm at the top end around 20km from the city centre. In Summer Koalas are a regular sighting and the pathways are mostly concrete strip so nice and smooth. Rollerblading, cycling, walking and running are all very pleasant on this surface.

This is a great weekend walk/ride around the Torrens lake and weir through to Adelaide uni but is also an excellent thoroughfare through to the beach. Just 25-30 minutes from the door-step of the CBD down to the Torrens outlet with Semaphore and Glenelg at your feet.
Underpasses under all main roads, long corners and good (recently upgraded) paths allow...

An hours walk from my Hotel in Hindmarsh Square taking in the walk along the Torrens was fantastic. I did it twice and within twenty minutes you are in beautiful bushland and peace.
