Fraser Island is a sand island and this beach capture's the essence of the island. You need a 4WD to get around the island and this is the major highway. It's exhilarating driving but it's not a swimming beach. I believe it's good for fishing and camping but you do have to watch out for dingos.

Great fun road for driving, but will get extremely busy, with people like me, who have no experience in driving on sand, on tours zooming up and down the beach. For this reason, I would be very wary about letting young children play on the beach.

This is why we come to Fraser. The beach is spectacular. Every place you go to is a relaxing place to set up for the day and just watch. The tides were right and the conditions perfect.

Lovely beach drive. Drivers must navigate the area only at low tide. Wild Dingoes can be frequently seen.
