I was really apprehensive about this trip having read the comments about seasickness etc. It was rough the day we went, wtih everyone having to stay in their seats unless the crew escorted them. However we had taken Kwells the night before and an hour before we left and we were fine. ( I usually get seasick crossing the english...

I was very excited when I discovered that there was a day trip that would take you out to the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef and you could scuba dive and snorkel right off the boat. I weighed the cost ($175 Australian) and decided it was absolutely worth it. The scuba diving prices were very reasonable as well....

We began our day feeling quite lucky to get two seats on this prestigious vessel which would take us to see the southern most tip of the Great Barrier Reef. Being a bit disorganized we had not booked in advanced and were thrilled that two other travelers had asked to be rescheduled. We showed up at the docks and were...

This is a whole day cruise. We went out to the island with Lady Musgrave Island Cruises, from The Town of 1770. Everything was provided.....hot and cold drinks, fabulous lunch, snorkelling and scuba (costs extra) equipment, wet suits, everything. You can also buy disposable underwater cameras. The boat anchors at a floating pontoon out in the lagoon. A smaller boat...

This cruise and tour includes a day out to the most Southerly part of the Great Barrier Reef. So, since we were house exchanging in Noosa and planning this adventure with friends who live near Mooloolaba, this was the closest and most convenient tour to book. Also, some friends recommended it. We were not disappointed.
The day began early with...

Went to the island by the Spirit of 1770 Lady Musgrave Tours. The crew were great especially Sabrina. We did a short walking tour on the island which has a large bird population (very smelly but interesting) - snorkelling was excellent especially near green buoy about 80-100 metres off the platform - very colourful fish and coral. They also have...

Briefly looking at the other reviews, seems sea-sickness was a problem. I can see that, we went on a very calm day and the boat was rocking a bit. I guess if the conditions were worse, then it may have been a problem.
Anyway, the experience itself is excellent. Starts with a walking tour of part of the island (reached...

The Spirit of 1770 is a catamaran hull not designed for the open sea. On the day we went 90 percent of the people onboard were sea sick, including people who told me they had NEVER been sea sick before and who had spent much time on boats. The boat was overcrowded and this meant that when we got to...
