My husband and his dad love taking the kids, with or without the bikes for walks here when we were living in Douglas. Always lovely gardens, and we must try the tea rooms one day!

We visit the Palmetum every time we go to Townsville. We found the Rufus owl still in the same tree above the path, however the Tube Nosed bats were not there this year. Great Spot!

I visited this beautiful location with my 10 year old daughter this week (June 2010). We spent a couple of hours walking around the walking tracks. There are several bench seats to sit at in locations that offer a view of rare trees. Adjacent to the Palmetum is the Ross River and we spent some time sitting on the grassed...
