Everyone in Townsville knows and loves the rock. Haunt of the daily exercise fanatic and excellent views of the city, bay and island. Is grossly under utilised by local council. If views of Townsville are what you're after, this place is the best. 360 degree views from several lookouts so plenty of photo opportunities. Only issue is that you need your own transport as I didn't see any public transport on that hill. It's a steep climb if you want to walk up it and probably takes a few hours... More

Best form of free exercise in Townsville - and the views from the top are fantastic! Either take the road up for a brisk walk, or for a good work out take the goat track :) More

The view over Townsville and the ocean is stunning on a clear day! I am amazed by the shear number of joggers climbing this hill on a daily basis. It is quite a climb, but the view is worth it. (You can drive up too) More
