Loved it you must go .Its everything they say it is and more .Would of liked to stay longer but wanted to see other places the same day .I would advise you to spend the day there not half a day.
I hate to a not-so-good review of a beautiful place, but I really really didn't enjoy the train ride. Sure, Kuranda was beautiful and same with the scenery on the way home, but the ride was really uncomfortable. The seats were sticky, there was no air conditioning on board and it was expensive. There are often 3 or 4 people... More
My husband, son and I visited here for the whole day, we really enjoyed the train ride and history of the area. Would love to do this again along with the cable car ride across the rain forest.
We liked everything, the old statio, the train ride up to Kuranda, the village itself and the cable car ride over the rain forest was breathtaking. I would not have missed this for the world.

I had a day to spare in Cairns so I decided to take a trip up and back to Kuranda on the train. Like others I have been on this trip many times before. You can only admire the views as the train climbs up the range and think of how it was constructed in the first place. Once in... More
As good as the travel brochures claim it is. The train ride made me go back to my childhood when train journeys had a romantic pull. The views were breathtaking - especially Baron Falls. Kuranda, at the top, was quaint and boasted dozens of restaurants & superb coofee house. Sky Rail coming back was the absolute highlight.
The train from an vintage style station to a scenic mountain range with lots of informative talks regarding its built. Nice and pleasant trip for about 1-2 hours had lots of scenic places. Good place to click photos with your loved ones. You must club it with the sky-rail. I felt, sky-rail was much better than the train only because... More
