I've been to the gallery part of Coca a few times but went to the theatre for the first time to see 'Boy.Girl.Wall'...a fast-paced comedy with one actor playing many characters. It was a fun experience from beginning to end. We enjoyed pre-show reasonably priced drinks and the seats in the theatre were relatively comfortable.

over the counter snacks pre-packaged for selling and munching on prior to performances and during intermission and from memory nothing that was going to crinkle too much if you snuck it inside the show but best of the lot was the sangria - muchly yummy and could have gone back for a lot more!

Don't expect your average night out, the shows at JUTE are powerful, moving and usually very humerous too. Plays are often written by local Australian writers & emerging writers. Some fantastic works. Bring the camera for a photo with the lifesize Jelly Babies out the front.

Don't expect any traditional form of theatre. Experimental dance, challenging plays and passiojnate performances spice up Cairns cultural scene!
