The gardens as a whole are magnificent. They are extensive and range from natural tropical habitat that you can easily walk through on boardwalks, large grassed open space dwarfed by huge trees where you can barbeque or kick a ball with the kids, or simply be in awe of the exotic flowers and plants in the botanical section of the...

Well worth the visit a loverly way to spend a afternoon and have afternoon tea at the cafe.Just check opening times for the cafe
the botanicals are nice to walk around and the lakes are pleasant, however the amount of positive things i heard about them were undeserved- it is pretty similar to any other botanical garden, yet good because everything is within close distance, surprisingly.
Start from Greenslopes street. Explore the lakes. Immerse yourself into great scenery. Follow on to the boardwalk. Make sure to have enough time and top it off by crossing the street into the Botanical Gardens. Doing it this way makes it better the way you go. So much to see and such a nice place to relax. It is open...

The gardens are great check it out. I little hot in the cafe as you are out side with no air con. Great to walk around the gardens and grab a cool drink or lunch.
Amazing gardens, is not a huge area to walk around so is good for elderly or in a wheelchair. The variety of flowers and tropical plants is amazing. Has a cafe that is good for breakfast or lunch, just take the mozzie spray.
