This could be a beautiful place to visit, but it is a haven for smokers. Quite frankly it is desecrated by smokers and one can never go and enjoy this park, due to the suffocating cigarette smoke. I'd love to be able to eat my lunch here, Brisbane has so many beautiful and sunny days, but forget it, unless you... More

Such a lovely place in the middle of the city. Sometimes quite busy, but well-kept , and worth going to see the memorial. More

A little square tucked away in the middle of Brisbane. A lovely bit of green, with some lovely sandstone brickwork. More

Anzac Square is a great little park in Brisbane’s centre, with touching statues and memorials commemorating our Anzacs. At the northern end is the Shrine of Remembrance containing the endless flame. The park is a beautiful place to relax and a nice memorial to our Anzacs. More

The well laid out paths leading to the Shrine of Remberance and the reflective fish ponds and the grassed areas to sit and enjoy a snack or the passing parade of diverse people are extremely good. The Shrine its-self is remarkable .Under the sub-way is a little known delight in the historical rooms of Remberance and is a gem A... More

Modern Brisbane has sprung up around the Anzac Square and Central Station precinct , so the sandstone, bronze and bottle trees of this place provide an elemental counterpoint to the stainless steel and glass around. For a comparatively small area right in the heart of the CBD , it does have a serenity about it , and is a good... More

This memorial is not as grand as the ones in Sydney or Melbourne. Having said that, size isn't everything. And this memorial reminds us all to never forget those who served and those who died serving. More
