The entertainment at Powehouse igenerally has a modern feel, and is sometimes overwhelming for the older generation to which we belong. It's in a great location and is easily accessible. Our GenX and GenY kids and grandkids love it; we enjoy it but maybe are a bit staid for it. The markets are great. More

I have been to the Powerhouse many times over the years. I have seen top class comedy, music and cultural performances here. My favourite aspect apart from its intimate theatres is it's fabulous Riverside setting where you can stroll before or after a show and enjoy a drink at the spark bar. Went to a comedy night which I think is monthly on a Sunday night here recently, really enjoyed it, great multi-purpose venue and the comedians on that night were a mixed but genuinely funny bunch. Very funky building with tons of atmosphere and perfect setting on the top deck for my Nephews wedding. The large balconies with views across the Brisbane River with a cooling breeze was just superb. Quality of service and F&B could not be faulted, More

We visited for a Brisbane Comedy Festival gig and ate at one of the restaurants before the show. All fantastic. More

Walk around the outside of the building and check every sign you come accross there are some very funny ones to read. Walk accross the park to the dog park and read the sign on dog barking, very funny. Nice cafe looking over the river and great place to go for comedy nights. More
