Pearson designed this and it is similar to his other great work Truro Cathedral in the UK. Beautiful Brisbane Porphyry exterior with a clean Helidon sandstone interior. One of the great Cathedrals of Australia and certainly worth a visit. Bowen House which is the Deanery beside the Cathedral was originally the residence of the first Governor of Brisbane George Bowen. More

Once again the difference between a church and a cathedral is writ large at St John’s. A massive building of two towers, vast pillars and beautiful serenity, it is hard not to appreciate the aura at St. John’s. A magnificent building with an interesting history this place of worship is admired even by those of us who are not Anglican! A truly picturesque sight and the subject of many tourists photos. More

We were welcomed to St, John's by friendly, helpful and informative volunteers, who took time and effort to share their knowledge with us. The Cathedral is grand, the stained glass windows are well worth seeing. More

Now that the scaffolding is gone, ou can see the Cathedral in all its glory. o during the week to walk around, or on a Sunday to hear the choir and participate in worship. More
