Visited with daughter and her 17month old toddler. We had a great day! We were very impressed with how neat and tidy the entire zoo was, the paths were either all swept or raked clean, enclosures neat and nicely set out. We loved that the animals had 'quiet rest' areas and were making good use of them! The staff were... More

This by no means compares to some of the big zoos like Taronga in Sydney or Dubbo Zoo, but it has lots of nice things to see, baby animals, native animals. It's worth a day trip with the kids - or overseas visitors! More

Small zoo set in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Brisbane. Great for the kids but hard to get to without a car. More

Had a great day at Alma Park Zoo which is set in beautiful gardens. We borrowed a friend's 6 year old daughter, so had double the fun exploring all the attractions. Bought animal food at the gate and fed lots of animals. Getting up close and patting them was a real bonus. The fence heights are child friendly to allow... More

Went here as a little family with my 20 month old son and we loved it as he enjoyed the animals especially the ones in the "Friendly Farm" area where the kids (and the adults too) can feed the animals with the feed bags you are able to buy and really interact with the animals there. Didn't get to see... More

I visited with my 12 year old daughter who learned about the zoo online. We were really fortunate and able to book the Lemur Island VIP tour with the head zoo keeper. We were in Port Douglas when we learned about the Lemur opportunity and inquired a coupled days ahead of our planned day at the zoo. I was having... More

We have been 3 times over the past 3 years and although my kids are 13 and 15 they still enjoy it. Its not modern and is looking a little run down but this is more than made up for by the fact that it never gets busy so you can wander around without the crowds. The staff are always... More

Alma Park Zoo is a favourite attraction that is conveniently located between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. It is a great one to bring visitors to Australia to because there are a lot of native animals in smallish yet very naturalised enclosures that enables the visitor to get up close to the animals while the animals at the same time...
