We decided to go for a ride while strolling through southbank. Decided on the southbank to hamilton leg and was about $6 each return!! sat out on the front deck of the boat and braved the night chill but was rewarded with great pics. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great cheap outing :)

A great way to see Brisbane (from the river of course) without forking out for a cruise - need to work out the Go Card for visitors aspect though and avoid rush hour. Could also work if you are on a cruise into Brisbane as the CityCat goes from Bretts Wharf at Hamilton near the cruise ship terminal.

I rode CityCat ferry from the university to North Shore and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ferries run every 12 minutes on Sundays and are well patronised. Fares can be expensive but if yiu have a GoCard they're quite reasonable. I purchased my GoCard, on line, before I left Melbourne. The ferry runs every day.

Went down the river on the cat. Great regular and ontime service, views of the city were super, and for $5.20, a great tourist investment

If you have some time to use up take a ride up and down the river cat. I'm not sure on the costing per trip but it is a nice way to relax and see the water frontage homes.

It was a beautiful Brisbane day, with not a cloud in the sky, so it made for a pleasant way to pass a couple of hours for very little money. You could get on...

The larger ferrys move much more quickly down the river - so if you are wanting to see everything in 2 hours take these but if you want to cruise along watching everyone on land l recommend the smaller ferrys ( they look like tug boats) as you stop at all drop off points at the river, you can see...
