As a local I did this with my boyfriend a few years back and I did not find it that great. I got quite bored and we only went aorund 2 times. If your looking at the great views its okay but if your a local its not too exciting. They did have souvenir photos though which were great! More

This is a nice, new wheel, it's by no means comparable to the London Eye as far as height goes, but it is a nice and romantic thing to do. More

A ferris wheel with a view right on the riverside at Southbank. What with the world's fascination with large wheels this comes in as a very poor cousin. Do London and Singapore first but if you are really desperate then this will possibly do. More

Great views of the Brisbane but a bit overrated and over-priced. The Singapore flyer is much larger than this, and almost half the cost. Well worth a ride if not local from Brisbane though. More

Great view of the city, and a good way to work out where everything is. It is a quick ride - about 5 laps that takes around 10 mins, and costs $15 for an adult. It was good, but I would have liked it to go for longer. More

A bit too expensive and boring - we couldn't wait to get off. Could be nice thing for a tourists to do - it does have nice views and has commentary. Not for locals! More

If you have been swimming, gallery hopping, sightseeing, and eating at southbank then a quiet 20 minutes on the Wheel is a great way to wind down and take in the lovely views of the city, mt cootha, the Bridges along the river and Southbanks lush gardens. 2 adults and 2 kids about $40 seems good value and the queue... The views from the Wheel makes it worth more than one vist,just the all round views.great location on Southbank. More
