My Brother and I did an East-West crossing of the Simpson Desert in Sept/Oct 2011. We did the 10 day 4x4 tagalong with Paul Stafford owner of Tagalong Tours of Australia. From start to finnish in Alice Springs we had an absolute ball, Paul is a very skilled professional operator who you can have a good laugh with. The trip... More

What an experience.Other reviewers have done a splendid job describing how good this trip on Trinity bay is but I will add a couple of suggestions. Firstly the ship is VERY VERY NOISY at night and if you are a light sleeper obtain a cabin on the top deck. The two best ones are cabin 7 and 11. We had... More

My husband and I planned for over 18 months a trip öf a lifetime" to Cape York. Boy !!did it turn out to be one. The guide, Donald Lakay, the new owner of AGTA sure made it THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME. Having just read the 11 reviews of Paul Strafford's tour it looks like that they were put... More

We recently paid $5236 for a 22 day Cape York Experience that we had taken 18 months to prepare for. This was to be a highlight for us and included full catering, camping, safety and recovery and a guide. We left home near the South Australian border, with six full days of travel to arrive at Atherton Qld., our meeting... More

As first timers to the Cape and with our three kids in tow we decided on a tagalong tour, our choice for our big adventure was Paul Stafford of Tag a Long Tours Australia and all I can say is WOW, what a fantastic time for all! Paul's knowledge and passion for the Cape combined with his contacts proved to... More

Paul Stafford the owner/director of Tagalong Tours gave my father and I the trip of a lifetime, at trip I will never forget. I needed help to get to the end of the journey and nothing was too much. If you are looking value for money, self drive of otherwise I would give Paul from Tagalong Tours a call. More

Interesting to read the chain of reviews. It seems to me the key is to do some homework on the tour operator. We too went with Tagalong Tours of Australia. The organisation was spot on and we got to see lots of fascinating places we would have gone right past if travelling by ourselves. A good mix of food included... More

Went to some great places, which we wouldn't have done by ourselves. Felt safe and only been a small group we had no trouble all getting on together. Tour operator, Paul was very easy to be with. I would just suggest he gets a bush toilet, as some of our camps were pretty basic. More
