Lake Alexander is a swimming hole but personally I wouldn't swim there. We use the park and BBQ area and its fantastic.

This is a nice place to come with the family or friends at the weekend. Late afternoon or sunset is probably the best time as it will be really hot before then. Great place to take a dip and cool off, one pointer though, if you go in the middle of the day in the wet season the water can be uncomfortably hot, if so, try the city beach at the waterfront, has 2 lines of stinger nets so very safe.

Safe crocodile free spot for swimming. The water was a little green, but there is a wetlands walk to explore.
