Wasn't fantastic, there were fewer number of stalls compared to Mindil Beach Market though there were some variations in the items being sold, in comparison to Mindil Beach Market.
On the aspect of food, majority were once again Asian food.

Parap markets are a nice small market that offers a relaxing shopping experience.
The staff holders are friendly and due to the many cultures living in Darwin the food in amazing. Try the Thai spring rolls, or the Indonesian satays.
The market also offers fresh fruit and vegetables (great when mangos are in season) as well as showing the local...

The outdoor market at Parap shopping centre on Saturday mornings is a must for visitors to Darwin, skip breakfast and have it here and buy more to take home for lunch. Indulge yourself in varieties of flowers you will never find in such profusion outside of Asia.
The suburb is a short distance from the CBD so if you are...

We had a memory of Pawpaw salad from when we lived in Darwin in the 80's, so went searching and were rewarded. Still good but didn't seem to have green beans in it which our collective memory seemed to recall.
We also bought a Laksa - much better than the Laksa we had at the Rendezvous.
Food seems to be...

Pleasant market with some local crafts and a good deal of cheap imported trash. Good array of Asian food

Entertained by the passing parade as we tried freshly squeezed fruit juices, Laksa, chilli pawpaw salad, etc. Plenty of crafty stalls as well with local creations for small gifts. Mindle Beach doesn't run in the wet but this great local hangout was pumping even with passing showers and steamy conditions - all the better for atmosphere :)

I've been to the Parap market on Saturday morning a few times, and have always enjoyed the rich tropical blend of food, fruit and passers-by. It's not a very large market, and a visit can be combined with a look at the local shops and galleries (check out Nomad Gallery and the Tiwi Gallery in the Parap shopping village). As...

Fantastic food and other tourist fare, there are some real standouts. Like all of the markets in Darwin, the various different Asian food stalls are amazing. Usually Thai, Malay, Indonesian and Indian, but a range of other gorgeous food too. For decent coffee go into one of the shops though!

A busy crowded multicultural market with lots of good take-away food, vegetables, and stalls. We bought lots of small items as presents to take home for family members. Very hard to park. We went between 11 a.m. And 1 p.m.

Gets busy 1000 to 1300. All closed by 1430. Cosmopolitan Darwin at it's best. Multi cuisine and multi arts crafts. I prefer Parap January to April or October to December.A smaller version of Minill markets on a Thursday which attracts 20percent of Darwin on a Thursday night during may to September.plenty of smiles and friendly faces.
