This tour costs $7 and consists of a short film and a self directed tour. I almost cried during the film when a daughter told how her father was hurt in a farming accident and the Royal Flying Doctor Service came to his aid. The pilots will land in a paddock (field) or on the road. If you drive around...

For 12$, you have nothing real to see. The shop is bigger than the museum.
You have different informations about the history that you have to read.
But the video is just a big propaganda to ask you to give them money, money and more money. History? What? If you want to know how, when, where, read, read and read....

Thank you for taking the time to give us your thoughts on our Australian Tourism Award Winning Facility. I'm not sure what the JOKE is. Our dedicated and hard working staff who every day service the remote regions of Australia may not agree as well. I thank you for your donation which ensures we keep the Doctor Fyling to help...

Watching a short film in which people attest to how the Flying Doctor Service has been invaluable to people living in the Outback is the the highlight of a visit to the Facility. There is a little gift shop and for a fee, one can go inside a replica of a small plane.
I was expecting a little more from the birth place of the flying doctor visitor's centre. It was essentially a film show with a nice shop attached and the cafe was closed on sundays .I would have liked a bit more history in the film show it was more like an advert for the modern service.
nice and clean, informative also good to see the planes have got bigger since i was transporting patients from kalgoorlie
Being a supporter of the R.F.D.S it was a most enjoyable time spent there learning more of what they do and the areas of Australia they cover and their good works. Many thanks to the foresight of John Flynn
This is a small, but well packed tourist facility explaining the importance and history of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Sections of the plane are on display as well as areas for showing the history of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
We in the states take for granted our quality healthcare. We don't realize that there are so many people living in remote areas of the outback that do not have the convenience of a doctor nearby. This service is excellent!! Kudos to the doctors and nurses!!!
Having loved 'the Flying Doctors' TV programme as a child and been fascinated by the service, I really wanted to visit here. It is not cheap for a visit that lasts no more than an hour, but at least your money goes to a good cause. The museum was very interesting and the film highlighted the importance of the service.
