Walked this end of Aug 2008 into the first few days of Sept. Took us 14 days but will probably go back and try to do it slower next time. This is by far my favorite walk in the last 8 years of serious bushwalking. The landscapes can appear quite devoid but are full of life and records of history.... More

November was a bit hot for walking so only did a couple of short sections. Very different from most trails with good views, sense of total isolation and rugged rocky scenery. More

I completed this trail, with four friends, over a luxurious 19 days between June and July 2010. We walked from Alice Springs to Mt Sonder. At the beginning of the trip it rained for several days, so the birds, fruit, flowers and colours were out in full display. An artists paradise! More
