After arriving in Sydney, the first Saturday we walked to a Monorail station and bought two adult day tickets for nearly 20 dollars. Apart from the frustration that we could hardly fit in the cabin with our buggy, we were a bit disappointed that a whole loop is less than 15 minutes... This means that the area that the Monorail... The stations are located at various popular points around the CBD and you can pick it up anywhere and get off anywhere. There's an all-day ticket purhcase where you get on, hop off and visit an area or attractions, then get back on and off all day long. Then there's a $5 ticket for a single ride around the circuit... Easy way to get around Darling Harbour. While a bit pricey, is a unique way to travel. Pity they are shutting it down. More

The mono rail is a novelty trip, it is a short trip from the City Centre to Darling Harbour. Little boys who love trains will love it, techy nerds like me loved it for what it says & stands for. Mono rails sprung up in the 70s & 80s in a period of forward looking optimism about the future &... More

Old, expensive, dirty & hard to access. The tram is much better. More

Have been on the monorail before, only went on it this time because my son wanted to. I think it is the most boring and average experience out. Unless you really wish to save yourself a bit walking, I wouldn't waste my money. More

Firstly it is disappointing that the Sydney transport tickets are not accepted on this. The monorail is novel and does offer views of Darling Harbour but it is difficult to see much through the CBD due to the narrow streets. The service is frequent and the carriages seem clean. It doesn't go very far or to anywhere particularly useful. It's... More

The idea is great but since Darling Harbour's changed so much (a lot less to do than when it first opened) there's not really anywhere much to go on it. More
