Looks pretty at night strolling down the centre walkway - but beware, you are at high risk of being rolled! Day time is pleasant on a sunny day - very poor facilities though (toilets). More

Most people just walk through the park - it's not all that big - but it's a nice green space in the heart of Sydney. The fountain is very photogenic as is the cenotaph. More

Hyde park is in a great location, very well maintained. My accomodation was just over the road, my room was facing the park views never to be forgotten. Easy to get there station just outside the park. More

Wrack your brains over the large chess set in the north and pay respects to the war memorial in the south. Very beautiful views from the Archibald Fountain, especially that of St Mary's Cathedral. Grab a homemade popsicle from the push-cart near-by! More

Hyde Park is the hub of Sydney when it comes to outdoor events. Every festival has an event based here due to the spaciousness of these beautiful gardens. The gardens are used all year with workers eating their lunches, visitors enjoying a rest stop and Sydneysiders ambling through. More

Was walking by here watching local workers playing bat and ball with a shovel. It was really refreshing and enjoyable to share in their exuberance for life. More

It is a bit unsafe at night, hence the low vote. I still love walking through it. I am canadian and still get a buzz out of seeing wildlife, and in the centre of town. It has never let me down. St james station and Museum station come here. You can reach St. Mary's cathedral and then Botanical gardens. More
