Sydney's Chinatown is probably larger and more tourist-friendly that most comparable Chinatown-style neigbourhoods. The food courts are reasonably priced and generally have good food. There are also a few interesting stores, including an Asian pop music store. Try some of the unusual Asian desserts on sale at special dessert places. It's also a fairly safe area. This is close to Darling... More

OVer many years I have found the food in Dixon Food court to be cheap and reliable. I agree with many other reviewers, the sizzle/clay pot stall is the best. Don't order too much, their meals will easily feed two people! More

It's ok, there are a few good eating places. But overall a bit tired and grimy. More

Needs a major clean-up. Streets are dirty & smelly with rotten rubbish, some areas are not safe & just about every shop I went into, I felt this decidedly unfriendly vibe. Did not feel welcome & this is my hometown!!! More

Had a lovely time wandering around Chinatown , great restaurants in the area. The shops are quaint and it's also very close to Paddy's markets and a few of the city bars. Worth a wander around More

It is not really a "Town" but more of a Street.... It is probably good if you would like to get Made in Aus souvenirs all in one go, it is not a bad choice to be. Otherwise, for those who miss food from Home, this is not a bad option to come to. To me, this won't be an... More

A typical small Chinatown. There are some really good restaurants hidden in here but also an awful lot that are aimed squarely, and expensively, at tourists. The Chinese bakery is brilliant. More
