We specifically went to the Powerhouse Museum to see the Wallace and Gromit exhibition - it was excellent and the kids loved it. They also booked into the "make a Gromit" which was A$10 per child and took about an hour - they really enjoyed this. There was also the Lace exhibition on which the adults enjoyed more than the... This is a really fun day out as an Adult or as a Family. There is always a new main display or theme (often these touring/feature exhibits can cost extra to the admission fee). But if you like science, have a curious nature or just generally like being able to go to a museum and actually touch stuff; this is... More

We used to bring the kids to visit, but I had not been there for about 13 years. I enjoyed being able to look at the exhibits at my own pace. I spent about 3 hours there, and would have spent more (my wife enjoyed the visit - it was her idea - but 3 hours in a museum is... More

Went here with the grandchildren and a good time was had by all. Granddad liked the cars and planes and automobiles but the kids preferred the wiggles.

You can learn so much at this museum - it's modern and historical and has excellent exhibitions. Saw Diana's dresses here last time we visited.

Some friends and I went to the Powerhouse Museum over a weekend. We went especially for the Wallace & Gromit Exhibition. Even though the exhibition was not as large or good as expected, it is well geared for young children and holds many scaled sets that were used in filming. The ticket prices were good value as entry to the... More

It is so easy to enjoy a museum when it is a bit hands on. This museum has some very interesting permanent exhibitions and regular has special exhibitions that add interest and fun. Entry prices are very reasonable. It is easy to get around and you will finish your time there better educated than when you first went in.

Our Family visited the Wallace & Gromit's World of Invention Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. A funtime was had exploring exhibits related to the Wallace and Gromit stories. Viewing minature sets that were used in the filming of the TV programmes. Many hands on tools to encourage children to draw and be involved in creating inventions of their own. Other... More
