This is a must-visit for all tourists. Generally, the souvenir stalls near the entrance will be having a whale of a time as tourists will linger there, with the stalls inside being devoid of crowd. All the stall helpers I saw were Chinese, maybe they are from HK or M'asia coz I heard them speak Cantonese. The prices are about the... More

The markets in China Town are popular with tourists but I'm really not sure why. They're full of cheap junk, and many tacky souvenirs. Paddy's Markets in Flemington are a bit better. They're much larger with plenty of inexpensive clothes, shoes etc. Really, I think you're better to go to the markets at places like Glebe, Paddington, Manly etc to... More

Had not been for a few years, and was expecting "junk", but had a ball. Extremely persuasive (pushy but fun) massage guys, but that was great. More

This market reminded me so much of the hectic markets that you would find in South East Asia – the crowded paths between colourful stalls literally overflowing with goods of all types. Prices were very good and there was everything from clothes, shoes, souvenirs, food and drink, electronics, and if you looked a bit closer I’m sure you’d find even... More

Well located (can get there walking from Central or Town Hall without much hassle and right near the lightrail line) and of a decent size, this is a must for anyone in the CBD over the weekend. From wigs, knick-knacks, clothes, rugs and watches to food, it's perfect for a shopping adventure. You can also get some great costume items,... More

This is a good place for lots of inexpensive Sydney and Australia souvenirs. Many of stalls and lots of selection. They are open Wednesday through Sunday only and there is no admission charge. It is definitely worth a visit, especially if you are buying souvenirs. The exact same items at the Circular Quay and elsewhere are at least twice the... More

Great place to buy the cheapest fruit and veg I have come across to take back to the hotel. Pleanty of small stores to purchase cheap clothing. Unsure on the quality of the garments but time will tell. More
