The Star (as it is now called) is a million times better than prior to the refurb. Well worth a visit, and much more in line with a real international casino. The gaming floor is grand, there are also plenty of food and drink options. The shopping underneath is expensive offering all of the top brands. Friday and Saturday evenings...

It doesn't matter what they do to this place, it still reminds me of a shopping plaza. Nothing refined about it - concessional shops, crappy food (except the fine dining restaurant), plenty of yobo's hanging around to make one feel apprehensive & not family friendly.

Like the Crown in Melbourne, it has varied eateries and quiet bars dotted throughout the complex and well as satellite restaurants and expensive clothing/bag stores.

Went there in February to see what the refurbishment was like.Well was unimpressed and as a poker player,just dont bother.Still not sure if it was a poker room passing itself off a corridor or a corridor passing itself off as a poker room.Plus a $5 p/hr time charge and 10% rake per hand is a bit much.Save yourself the trouble...
