Worth taking a look, stunning inside, so pretty. The grounds are lovely and go downstairs underneath where there are tombs. In a good spot near Hyde Park and the gardens. More

While not religious, I do appreciate excellent architecture and the St Mary's Cathedral is an amazing structure with simply beautiful stained glass windows and chapels. Opposite Hyde Park on a sunny, cool May day is divine. More

I always have a passion about historical architects, and usually the beautiful and magnificent buildings are churches. St Mary's Cathedral, brings you back in time to the olden days where people travel by carriages. There is no photography inside the Church though. Its worth a visit if you like churches it is the largest cathedral in Australia, or at least one of the largest. Compared to the dome of Köln and the Notré Dame of Paris you may be dissapointed, but if you hav'nt been to them then this one is grand. More

This cathedral is not as splendid as lovely old churches in Europe but it has its charm. It is located right next to Hyde Park and there is a big statue of John Paul II on its side. Such reverence and splendour. I stumbled across this cathedral when walking through the park. Its so discreet through the trees yet the interior of this great building coupled with the statue of Pope John Paul is truely remarkable. More
