Took the tour with two 20-year-olds, the tour kept them totally engaged. The guide, Sophie, was passionate about the history of the area and incredibly knowledgeable, with anecdotes and stories about the inhabitants that really brought The Rocks to life. I highly recommend this tour. More

My husband and I took our 10 year old on this tour. We all loved it. The tour guide was fantastic and never tired of answering questions. So glad we took the tour.I would do it again in a heart beat. More

As an aussie I found this tour very informative. It showed me the sites I read about at school and much more. The guide (margaret) was knowledgable and gave some good extra sightseeing tips. More

There isn’t a huge amount to see on this tour, apart from one or two historic buildings, some cobbled paving and a rather ugly, gormless sculpture in the middle of the area. Best part is the nice view from Campbell's Cove, with the Harbour Bridge on one side and the Opera House on the other. It’s a beautiful sight on... More

for $5 you can buy a self-guide tour book. i recommend the guided tour which is a bit pricy at $40 p/p but worth it if your time is limited. More

I took what I think is about my fifth tour of the Rocks today. Every time has been a little different with different guides who most likely concentrate on their expertise in certain aspects of The Rocks. That's a good thing. It's not at all a dry rehearsed lecture but an informative and often humorous look at how modern Australia... More

A well-informed tour guide who also had a bit of a personal story to share regarding Australia's history. The Rocks is a really beautiful area of Sydney and I think this tour is a must if you want to really appreciate it's significance in not only Sydney's, but Australia's history. More

I spent parts of five days around the Rocks, this historic neighborhood has something for everyone: eclectic shops, tourism offices, countless restaurants, museums, historic buildings, etc. The highlights: *The Rocks Walking Tour. Found in a little office on Playfair Street, this tour agency runs daily tours at multiple times that take in the whole neighborhood and describe the numerous buildings... More

My daughter and I enjoyed a fascinating walking tour of the Rocks on our recent trip to Sydney. The guide was pleasant and informative and helped us to discover some of the fascinating early history of Sydney. The days of the convicts and early settlers, and even the outbreak of plague around 1900, were all brought to life. Very atmospheric... More
