A well known local hoax perpetrated by unknown persons in the early 80's , over 100 Egyptian like symbols were carved in a cleft near Lyre Trig inside Brisbane Waters National Park. Studies undertaken by the NPWS and Macquarie University in 1983 found that the carvings were nothing more than an amateur attempt at creating some Egyptian engravings. Crude attempts... More
