Less pleasing than it used to be after the RAAF brass decided to add some shots of "square jawed heroes" to the fine sculpture that is still there.

The RAAF Memorial was unveiled on the 50th anniversary of the organisation. The Memorial comprises 3 upturned wing-like shapes representing endurance, courage and strength, traits possessed in ample quality by the men and women in this force. Images inscribed on 3 black granite walls complete the structure.
