We enjoyed this nice walk on a calm afternoon on the island. We so many koalas, and also some kangaroos, the trees were beautiful and big. There is a small shop where you can buy some food and tourist stuff. Nice place anyway, very enjoyable. The tour takes less than an hour and is the place where we saw more... More

My daughter and I happened to be the only ones taking the walk on this one particular evening, so we got a private tour. Because I was driving a rental car, I was very, very nervous about driving the 5 minutes back to the Wilderness Retreat lodge in the dark, so our guide was accomodating and kept the walk shorter... Koalas pretty much guaranteed with staff placing flags at the base of trees where koalas are snoozing. The park is very neat & tidy and the pathways wide and clear of tree debris. Would recommend a visit if you have an hour or so to burn but would rate other areas above it if stretched for time. More

Koalas aren't that easy to find on KI so the Koala Walk is a great asset. Entry only $5 and very helpful staff. More

Went during the day (allow an hour-ish) with our two kids (ages 3 and 5), who enjoyed finding the rocks and flags along the path that indicated when a koala had been spotted in an adjacent tree. Very helpful for the grown-ups too, since we have a track record of being terrible wildlife spotters... But our big thrill was seeing... More

I volunteered at Hanson Bay for 2 weeks and don't regret it one bit. I had a fantastic time helping out and the visitors enjoyed their time there too. Can't wait to visit again one day! More

We did this with the Lodge and Lodge guide. But Sanctuary has noctural tours each night. Great to see koalas and hear them too. We returned again in daytime - koalas were lumps in the trees. At night they are a bit more active. Also saw kangaroos, possums etc. Commend the place for their conservation effort. More
