Great winery and cellar. There are a few good restaurants and cafe on the main square. The village was a former fort on a hilltop so it over looks the Tuscan hills.

This seems to be off the usual tourist tracks which is a nice relief when it comes to a lot of Tuscan towns. If you are a wine collector check out the local grocery store. There are some older vintages as very reasonable prices, cheaper than you find at the actual wineries.

Volpaia is a bit off beat, but the drive from Rada to Volpaia is really delightful. The road is less traveled so you don't have to fight for traffic, while enjoying the country view. The town is small and simple, but that's the beauty of it. Without a lot of your usual busload of tourists, you can actually enjoy the... More

It's our favorite hill town...and with Radda close by...we love it. Our cooking class with Jo was first class. She is amazing! Food fabulous! The tour of the winery is exceptional. You get that "local" feel. And don't miss dinner at La Bottega.

Love, love, loved this place! Be sure to visit for lunch and try the truffle pasta. The view, service and wine was out of this world.

After settling into the hilltop restaurant terrace with a view you can only get in Tuscany, we were taken aback by the great service and excellent food. We had to go back a second time and it was still just as good. It is a definite must if you are in Tuscany (near Radda in Chianti).

It took about an hour and a half to walk the relatively short distance from our vacation digs in Radda to the hiltop hamlet of Volpia. Boy, was it worth it! There's not much in Volpia that isn't in other area towns, but the serenity and unspoiled beauty was impressive. We got wine and cheese and used the facilities at... More

Dating back to 13th century, this place was recommended by our the owners of the B&B and was definitely worth the visit. Beautiful architecture with one bar (Ucci), one church and one restaurant which we did not use.

Learned to cook some Tuscan dishes made from local produce and ingredients-- enjoyed with a wine tasting of various wines made at the winery including a wine tour. A little pricey but worth it.
