We were travelling back from Emerald Beach and we pulled in at the Macadamia Castle for a rest and to have a snack. When we got into the attraction the kids had a good time on the playground and then we went to explore what else was in the grounds. We saw some staff talking about reptiles and found the... More

After paying over $50 for our family to get in to this place we discovered that none of the "daily timetable" was accurate or even applicable. As you can't see inside before you pay, you don't realise just how lame this place is until you've emptied your wallet and it's too late. We waited for 20 mins for a train... More

My family and I have stopped at the Macadamia Castle each time we've traveled between Queensland and New South Wales. Today was no different. We mainly stop to pick up the various warm macadamia nut flavours on offer. The cafe/ice cream bar (with gluten free options) is always busy as is the souvenir shop. No matter how busy it's been... A welcome stop on the Pacific Hwy. The food is great and tastes fresh, well priced and the animal park is good for the kids to break up a road trip. More

We have been here a couple of times and our 18 month old daughter loves it. Last time we also had our 9 year old niece who and a great time feeding the baby lambs, wallabies and ducks. My husband loves the putt putt, and it is great it is included in the price. The only let down is the... More

We have always travelled pas the Macadamia Castle but never stopped in, with the Ballina bypass open we decided to stop in and try the coffee. We were very surprised at the warm welcome we received from the staff and we dumbfounded at the rudness of other visitors to the staff. There was an excellent selection of yummy macadamia products... We now have an annual pass (good value) to the Macadamia Castle for when we go down to visit my parents. My daughter loves the set up with animals to see, swings/slides and putt putt. However, I don't think I would pay for a family on a one off visit as it is pricey compared to other wildlife centres compared... More

It's pretty expensive to get in this being the first thing you experience. the animals really do look so over it. You can only hope that they dont have to live in the small pens they are put in through the day. The food is over priced and when I asked if they sold batteries there for the camera, the... More

I have 3 daughters 8, 6 & 6. They loved everything at The Macadamia Castle. Feeding the ducks, train ride, face painting, bird avery, Mini Golf and the animals. Food was well priced. I had a ceaser salad with bacon & an egg on top. IMO, this was well priced. Definetly coming back. (Went on 16/10/2011) More
