We went for lunch with four interstate friends. The menu offered good choices, 5 different meals were chosen and all diners were impressed with the meal and the friendly staff. The grounds were a pleasure to enjoy. Great spot to showcase our state. Congratulations to the wait staff and the chef.

My friends and I had been on wine tours before and had been disappointed with the food and the different parties of people on the coaches so we decided to listen to some friends of ours who had been on a tour with yourlimo a company that has a 10 seater stretch limo. The owner Tom does all the driving... More

We did the afternoon cruise tour, where we went to 2 wineries, the Margaret river chocolate factory and then took a ferry back to the city! The first winery was ok, however the second was excellent! Got a cheese and crackers plate which was yummy! The ferry back was awesome, free flowing wine and the captain even sang a couple... More

We elected to visit a few wineries in the Swan Valley to showcase local attractions to an interstate visitor with limited time. First stop on the wine trail was Lancaster, great open air venue, a good range of wines, very busy with coach loads of fellow visitors making any space at the tasting bar a premium. The experience would have... More

We visited this winery as third on our bus tour on 17/11/2012. Sandalfords first - great & very professional as always, Jane Brook second - again very friendly with wonderful wines & excellent ambience. Then came " The Lancaster" -Terrible. We were a bus of 40 people with an average age of 50+ - many in their 70's. We had... More

Houghtons Winery has a beautiful setting with interesting Museum section and Art Display. Wine tasting felt a big let down by comparison . Member of Staff on duty seemed v disinterested and the reds tasted v disapointing. Went elsewhere to eat in case restaurant staff had similar attitude! Enjoyed much better service and wines at a smaller vineyard called Lancaster.Cheerful... More

After a late breakfast at Sullivans we drove to the Info Centre at Guildford, about 25mins from downtown Perth. Very helpful staff providing info on what was open on a Tuesday, not everything is. Visited Houghtons Winery first, I have several of their magnums from the 90's, & checked out their platter menu for later. Next was a cheese &... More

The smaller family owned wineries are much better I live in Perth and I love taking family members from home to pinnelli's it's a small Italian run winery the explain how to drink wine are quite generous with tasting size. The wine itself is to dye for! If you don't like wine they do the freshest olives I've ever tasted... More

This was a very relaxing self drive. We combined it with a visit to Caversham Wildlife Park, spending a half day on each. We don't drink wine or beer but love to eat. There are many nice little restaurants along this trail. My favorite places were Mongo Nougat (gives out free Nougat) and the Margaret River Chocolate Company (gives out... More
