This enchanting walled medieval city is well worth a visit. We come here often from Barcelona just to relax for an hour or two, walking through the old village, climbing up to top of the cliffs, looking down the rocky coast. If you are traveling along the Costa Brava, this is a must see.

We visited Tossa de Mar in March , way before the tourist season. It has nice beach areas but if you look for sandy beach this is not the place for you. The beach has pebbles.

I have visited the old town of Tossa de Mar on several occasions. It is one of my favorite beaches and the old medieval town is quite a sight. You can hike up to the top of the hill to really check out the view and the old town. This would be fun for older children, but is not appropriate...
