As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic world heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway allow visitors to explore every level of the forest and Audio Guides in 6 languages are a hit with overseas visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best! « less

This is very scenic and easy to do. Lots of boardwalks and you could stay for hours if you use the information in the observation section. It's hard to find a cost written anywhere for this place, however, there is one so be prepared to pay entry fee. More

This is an great place to learn all about the rainforest. With audio guides as you walk around, and a decent guidebook to read, you have to be careful not to spend all your time reading or listening, and set aside time to just soak up the atmosphere. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. Highlight for us... More

Unless you're with kids or are keen on Australian flora, I wouldn't recommend it. It's nicely set up and the concept is good but it's l for everyone. Price is a bit expensive too with an adult costing $32 for a self guided tour. I preferred the free boardwalks in the area which were superb! More

It's a further trip north than we anticipated, and you also need to get the Daintree ferry across ($22 return), but we found that it was worth it. We arrived just after 3pm and we just scraped through with enough time to see everything, but a bit longer would have been ideal (The fee seems to have gone up to... More

I'm so glad you were able to make time to visit the the gateway to the Daintree Rainforest. The Discovery Centre is 2 hours north of Cairns, but the drive up the Coral Coast is truly spectacular and the Ferry crossing an experience in itself. Fantastic that you got to see a cassowary in the wild! There have been numerous... More

We had visited this place a number of times on past visits to Cape Tribulation / Daintree NP for coffee and a quick look; but never did the self guided tour from forest floor through mid-level to the tower above the canopy. This time we did, and spent a good couple of hours enjoying the views from many levels, but more... More

Mega Fauna are an important part of our Climate Change display. And our coffee is very good (our team undergo regular barista training)! To clarify pricing - Adult entry is AUD$32, Children... More

This is a great arrangement - lovely cafe and fantastic walks. Dispense with the audio guide - you gets as much with the booklet. We loved this place! Great introduction to the daintree. It's a little pricey at $28 per adult but we visited it first on our way to cape trib and the again on our way back. If... More
