we spent a lovely afternoon here with our young children. At the moment it is undergoing some renovations so half the building is covered by scaffolding, but despite this we were still able to enjoy the view and building. This site was surprisingly easy to find, just off the motorway and made a perfect midday/picnic lunch stop from Dublin to... More

Liked the ruins - movie kind of dated. part of the ruin is under going restoration but this did not affect the enjoyment of this ancient site. More

On my second trip to Ireland my son and I decided to take a Paddy Wagon Tour to the Rock of Cashel from Dublin. It was a great decision. Rising over the Tipperary Plain you see a castle like amalgamation of impressive Irish history. Atop you see the ancient seat of the Kings of Munster. The site of St. Patrick's... More

beautiful with a panaromic view of the countryside around it. unfortunately undergoing renovations on a certain part of it so it blocked a aspect of our photos, but no big deal. beautiful place, countryside, and local people are super friendly! More

I have been to the rock before, but this was the first time I wasn't on a tour bus and really could explore at my leisure. This was the way to do it! We were lucky in the fact that we arrived just as a tour guide was about to start the guided tour. one thing we didn't realize is... More

The Rock of Cashel is one of our great memories of our trip. They have guides who take you around the Castle. The guide we had was passionate about the castle and it was facinating. More

We did not take a guided tour but did sit for the video presentation, which was very informative and educational. The castle was under renovation so a good bit was out of view. Otherwise, the view up there is breathtaking and the tour was good. The history is well worth the trip! More

This is a very attractively situated ruin. There is not much to see, the museum consists of only a few items, but the location on top of the rock is great. Quintisential Ireland. Enjoyable video presentation if your timing is right. Huge plus that the ruins of Hore Abbey are located just below, explore for free. More
