The planned five hours to circumnavigate around the entire peninsula, we spent almost all day. It was worth. Views breathtaking, rural park with green grass pastures, white sheep, rocky hillsides and waterfalls,
sharp cliffs, colorful houses in the villages, cable car to the island and at the end ... dolphins in the strait. That's all the crazy narrow serpentine roads...

We had a very nice walk although the weather was not optimal. The tour was organized very good, the guide was competend and friendly, the accomodations comfortable, the meals delicious - and the landscape is really terrific! Don`t forget rain clothes, waterproof shoes and for hiking up hill und down dale poles.

drove the Beara way twice, and weather leaving Glengarriff was miserable both times, but by the time we reach Allihies it was after clearing. Well worth chancing it even on a wet day.
