Visit Kilcrohane and Ahakista villages. Perfect for Hill-walks and a pint of Murphy's. Sheep's Head Walk at the end of the Peninsula is a must

There is a beautiful lighthouse at the of the sheepshead peninsula that makes the journey there well worth it. The trek itself is rough under feet especially when the weather isn't the best. Watch out for strong winds and the rain make the surface very difficult to navigate through. Wear the right gear - Not SAS combat gear but expect... More

We so enjoyed the rustic beauty and peace of the peninsula. We explored the areas around Kilcrohane, Ahakista & Durras and found some amazing Pubs ( Arundel's By The Pier & Eileen's and also a beautiful garden- Heron's Garden & Cafe)

A beautiful sunny day, the drive down the peninsula is very twisty but lots to see, the museum is fascinating, and the walks are very energetic, good for the thigh muscles! The scenery is stupendous, I like the open sea, there is a good gift shop, good choices to be had, did not try the cafe on. This occasion.

First time around this area. Lovely scenery with lots of walks and great stops for refreshment Roads were quiet and even though it was a bank holiday weekend there was a feeling of tranquility .

Stunning views all round. A well marked walk from the car park to the end of the headland (you can return via a different route very easily). AND a great cafe at the car park. What more could you wish for? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A terrific place to walk in a wild windswept landscape, surrounded by two great bays, and the magnificent Atlantic. All credit to the landowners/members of the local community, who developed these walking trails. Being out on this peninsula gives one a great sense of freedom; hopefully, it's growing popularity won't see it succumb to the holiday home blight, which has... More

It's the only way to motor. The scenic route is always the best route! a few goats or cattle are sure to be looking your way!
