Excellent trip to do if staying in Kenmare area- especially if you have young children.
Captain Ray and the crew show genuine concern for the seals and have succeeded in minimising any potential stressors on the seals. They do this by thorough explanations before approaching them, activities for the children at the back of the boat if they begin to...

This is a super, fun trip. Interesting and amusing commentary interspersed with traditional fiddle and accordian music - the captain "sings" too! Boat sails really close to resting seals so one gets a good view. The children are kept quietly entertained while the adults admire the seals. Coffee and tea ( laced with rum) are served with lots of chocolate...

I was visiting Kenmare with 11 Belgian friends (I'm originally from Kenmare) and of course we took the Seafari trip so that I could show them how beautiful Kenmare Bay is. The trip with Ray and his staff is just brilliant. They are so warm and friendly with everybody, their knowledge of Kenmare Bay and its surroundings is astounding and,...

The cruise started at 11.30am and we had made a booking the previous day in the tourist office in Kenmare town. The crew hand called out the bookings to the top of the queue and we boarded (that was great!). The cost wasn't much (can't exactly remember) but we were out for a good three hours so money well spent....

We loved the afternoon, the kids had great fun and all that before we saw the seals. Worth doing especially if you collect the two for one vouchers.

We were really looking forward to this but it was very disappointing on a few levels. We were told that sailing would be 3pm sharp (due to the tides) but we were left sitting on the boat for 50 minutes, without an explanation. Even when captain Ray finally boarded, nothing was said. Now please don't think that this means that...

This boat excursion centered on very close observation of a group of seals on a sunning rock in the bay is spectacular in unexpected ways. Gently coached by the pilot-guide to maintain an appropriately quiet demeanor, the passengers are rewarded with an intimate encounter with the seals. But the voyage itself is a warm experience of team spirit, making a...

I have been on boat trips all over the world but this trip is the best! We were a group of six adults and we loved this trip. The lively captain will tell you stories as you watch the seals in Kenmare bay. There are snacks tea / coffee and live music all for 20 euro for a two hour...

We took the seafari in June , and even though we had to be rescued it was a great day . Crew were friendly and very helpful.
When we got tangled in a lobster pot we were offered extra tea/coffee and juice for children, captain ray chatted and one of the crew sang.
They had us all back to base in...
