I passed this castle a number of times whilst driving along the coast road and eventually took some time to see it properly on the last day. It is definitely one of the more impressive castles along the coast although recently they have begun to charge £5 for an adult to venture inside. We chose not to pay this and... More

We were fortunate enough to have spent the last two weeks in March driving ourselves around all of the Republic and Northern Ireland and saw several castles, every one of them very different than the other. If someone was going to be mean and make me choose a favorite of those half a dozen we visited, it would have to... More

It was in morning, in April, so a bit nippy out, but we spent over an hour here, enjoyed it immensly. More

This was highlight for us on our recent trip to Northern Ireland. We were spectacularly lucky with the weather and it was sunny and a great day to go traipsing around run-down castles. There is a great film (7mins long) in the visitor's centre which explains the history of the area, the clan battles, and the owners of the castle.... More

We took our two children aged 8 & 7yrs they enjoyed trying on the costumes in the visitors centre and listening via ear phones all about the castle. It sits on the cliff edge and you have fantastic views. It cost £13 for the four of us to go in.Take a picnic and enjoy! we did!! More

This is an interesting place & worth seeing, but it didn't blow me away. Maybe because the person working the visitor desk acted like he would rather not be there. He took our money & that was all. He acted annoyed that we couldn't get the door open (we thought the place was closed!). If I was his boss I... More

Dramatic old ruin on a shear cliff over the sea. Much improved historical centre and information on the context of the place. Not overly busy. More

Dunluce Castle was gorgeous. My friend had seen something about it on the travel channel and she really wanted to go. Luck would have it that the castle is nearby to the Rope Bridge and the Causeway so we planned all 3 in one day, the Castle being last. We got there about an hour before they closed but didn't... Not the most intact castle I have visited, but for views and atmosphere and history it is unbeatable. Set on the most dramatic and beautiful coast line in the world (I am biased as I live in Co Antrim) it is well worth a visit - Would strongly recommend it is part of any trip along the coast road.
