The David Fleay Wildlife Park turned 60 in the week after Easter. This meant a full daily activities program for the whole family. It was very varied and entertaining. There are plenty of animals to see and experience through the shows. The park itself is beautifully situated close to the Burleigh Heads NP, which means one can go for a... More

Visited the park during their 60th birthday celebration. Free public admission. Neat, clean and well laid out. Great for the kids to see the animals in natural habitat. Shows were ongoing, but did not get to any. Was not crowded so could get around comfortably. Not 100s of species but they did have koalas, kangaroos and crocodiles. The kids loved... More

We had a great day out. The park is just great as really accessible and easy to walk around. I loved the fact that the animals were in a natural habitat and it was all very chilled out. You can easily go around in an hour, but there are shows from 10.30 which make it a great day out. The... More

Not much to see over here - except for a collection of tree kangaroos and wallabies. But then again it claims to focus only on animals native to Queensland displayed in surroundings similar to their natural habitats. I guess this place would particularly interesting for more serious nature lovers, not so much for tourists More

A beautiful wildlife park in a natural setting. Only a few kms off the beaten track (approx 5kms west of the Gold Coast Highway, through West Burleigh, or approx 2 or 3kms off the M1) but not over-run with tourists. Well worth the visit if you want to see Australian wildlife away from the usual tourist traps. More

This wildlife park is the real deal. Not made for tourists it's there for the wildlife. A really authentic Aussie experience. Loved the day we spent there and the people who work there are completely dedicated to the animals they care for. Can't rate this too highly a wonderful day out. More

It is a tad ingenuous to try and compare somewhere like David Fleay's with much larger operations like Australia Zoo (their scale and financial backing put them in two completely different leagues). However, David Fleay's need to realise that these sorts of comparisons are going to be made, and no matter which way you look at it, they are simply... More

When will some money be invested in bringing this place up to scratch. It is simply not competitive nor compelling for visitors or local families. Very sad More

Why go here when you can go to Dreamworld and see the wildlife? No, for the cost and what is there I would not go back. It is a very glum place. More

More like a national park with wildlife than a zoo. We really liked it. Had some animals you won't see anywhere else like the tree kangaroo (I think?!) Lots of crocs which our 4 year old loved and good talks by the rangers/keepers. Lots of animals to see and no merchandise shops which was fantastic!! Well worth a look if... More
