This walk is purely a sporting one! Lots of stairs! However it could be much nicer if there was some kind of indications but they are almost non-existent! It is not maintained at all! If the local authorities or volunteers could just invest a little in putting up signs and cleaning the rubbish, then it would be an altogether different... More

We climbed up from Minori, man, it was a hard walk, all the way upstairs...but it's worth it.. the beautiful little houses, cute winding stairs, amazing views from the top... had a casual lunch in Ravello, then we walked slowly down to Amalfi to catch the sunset... what a wonderful day!

Ravello is perched high above the Almalfi coast, a windy and often frightening bus trip! However, there are well marked steps that lead down the mountain in either direction. We chose to take the Ravello-Atrani steps and then walk the short distance to Almalfi. It was a good choice. The path winds its way down the mountain, past homes, olive... More

this could be a spectacular walk but it is not well maintained and so the experience was purely a sporting one. If the local council could just invest a little in clearing the rubbish, or maybe local volunteers could be mobilised, then it would be an altogether different and wonderful experience.

Even though its steep and about 45 mins each way, the locals you meet along the way make it worthwhile. Always a smile and a happy offer of assistance.

If you don't have any problems with your legs you should definitely do this walk, it takes more than an hour and we just didn't want it to end. On our way we tried fresh grapes, lemons, walnuts and figs! We took the bus from Amalfi to Ravello, and walked down to Minori, took back the bus to Amalfi.

We walked down after a wonderful lunch. Its amazing to see the houses and how people move furniture in and out? Im sure they must sell with the house's. Lots of olive tree's and twists and turn's to get lost. Great views for your camera, a tough walk up I would guess.

To me this is one of the most special walks ever. It is about 1,000 steps to Minori, all downhill. It takes about 40 minutes. I always take the bus back up the hill.

We where staying in Atrani and had already walked UP to Ravello a few days ago. It was such a nice day that we decided to walk UP to Ravello again, to see Villa Rufolo. The plan was to then catch the bus back down to Atrani, and give the knees a rest, but my partner suggested we walk down... More
