The soil rich in fossils, oysters and shells, the microclimate and a wide temperature range are all factors particulary suitable for wine growing. Beside a very modern cellar, the visitor has the possibility to admire the Etruscan caves, today utilized for the production of the sparkling wine "spumante" and to mature certain wines in barrels. “Beautiful Private Winery Tour”

If you love wine and you love Italy do not miss Decugnano dei Barbi. The grounds are gorgeous, the history rich, and the wine delish. The estate is a bit off the beaten track and very worth the drive. We enjoyed our wine tasting and the food pairings while taking in the view. More

We just visited - it was a group of three families with young children. Anna made the tour a wonderful time for all involved. She was great about answering questions and explaining everything to us. The tasting itself was delicious - the pairings, wines and information were fantastic. We all loved this day and would highly recommend visiting! More

If you are visiting Umbria or Tuscany - make a trip to the Decugnano di Barbi, you will not be disappointed! It is great value for money and as others have said on here, Anna Rita is the perfect tour guide and an excellent teacher.
