The Shrine of St. Michael is a religious place that is worth visiting! Enjoy the local food as well, lots of pasta and local cheeses! Don't forget to buy some local pasta and cheeses!

We recenlty returned from Italy and visited the Gargano area which is where my family are from. We stayed at the Regio Hotel which is outside of Manfredonia and one would need a vehicle to get around this area. The hotel was excellent but a bit outside of the city and accomodations were great including the food and service.

One of the highlights of our Apulia tour was a visit to Monte Sant' Angelo. The basilica and grotto is wonderful. A most for visitors to the Gargano Peninsula! Don't forget to visit the great Norman Castle nearby.
