The pass is closed in Winter - though you can ski into it from the top of the Santa Katarina lift network. The mountains surrounding the pass are stunningly beautiful - and you can the ski out on the snow covered road.

When you plan to drive to Bormio on a motorcycle, the Passo di Gavia is the route to chose. Very small and winding roads but a lot of fun in a captivative landscape.
