Not a huge place but unusual and memorable. Small helpful staff. Entrance was 4 euros, more if a combined ticket wanted. Excellent descriptions. No photos inside are allowed, rightly so if using flash!

Giorgio was appointed by the Medici in Florence but he remained always linke tho his birthplace:works by him and his art collection and library including important letters bt Michelangiolo.
The home of the artist & archtect Giorgio Vasari is worth visiting if you are interested in art. The paintings are beautiful & the museum is well laid out with good explainations of the artwork. There is also a walled lovely garden with a goldfish pond that you can enjoy in good weather.

The house itself is not too big. However, it is a real jewel. The ceilings and walls are all frescoed - and are lovely examples of Vasari's work. Apart from a few objects, the house is not furnished but this does not mean less interesting. it might be a plus since you can walk around without the fear of knocking...

The former home of Vasari is interesting for several reasons. His paintings cover many of the rooms and the home gives one an idea of the space constraints for a family of the time.
